McManaway's Backstory Becomes A Mission

My Name is Jeremy. I spent over 20 years of my life as a drug addict. My story is the same as every other drug addict. The drugs took everything from me, and I was an empty man whose only hope was in my next fix. Somehow, some way, I landed in a Christ-centered drug rehab, and on the top bunk of room 502, I ended up at the feet of Jesus, begging for a new life. 

I completely surrendered myself and my life to God’s will. Before I left, I only asked one thing: 

“God, make your will and purpose for my life clear to me.” 

I will go wherever you want me to go and do whatever you want me to do, NO MATTER WHAT. 

He put a calling on my life that was very clear and simple to understand. 

“Give men a place to go to meet Me head-on, and I will do the rest.”

That is where the vision came from for the Exodus House. It is God’s house, and I am just a vessel. It is a house of hope for the hopeless. Every story that comes through here will be a God-written story, and He will get all the glory. 

Jesus said, whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it. - Matthew 10:39
